Clothing

We provide protective clothing for messy activities; however, some children prefer not to wear them. We recommend dressing your child in clothes that are comfortable, easy for them to manage independently when using the toilet, and that you don’t mind getting a little messy.

Snack Time

We offer two snack sessions each day: a morning snack at 10:15am and an afternoon snack around 1:45pm. Snacks include fresh fruit and a light item such as crackers or breadsticks. Children can choose milk or water. These snacks are provided by the preschool for families who choose to opt-in.

Arrival and Collection

Please use the side gate when dropping off and collecting your child. There is a doorbell on the gate—please ring and wait for a staff member to welcome your child in or bring them out at the end of the day. Parents are welcome to bring their child into the preschool in the morning to help them settle.

Our staff finish at 3pm so they can collect their own children from school, so please ensure you arrive on time for collection.

Please note: No smoking or vaping on the premises. Dogs must be kept on a lead. Late collection is charged at £5 for every 5 minutes and will be added to your invoice.

Lunch Time

Children attending a full day or afternoon session should bring a healthy packed lunch. Lunch is at 12pm.

We are a no-nut preschool, so items such as Nutella, peanut butter and any foods containing nuts are not permitted.

What to Bring

Please send your child with a bag containing spare clothes, nappies and wipes if needed, a sun hat or winter hat, gloves, named suncream in summer, a comforter if required, and a named water bottle filled with water only.

You may leave a named bag at preschool with wellies, hats or suncream. Some children prefer to wear slippers indoors, which is absolutely fine.

Tapestry

If you opt-in to Tapestry, you will receive regular observations of your child’s learning, direct communication with your key worker, notifications about attendance and nappy changes, and weekly photos of activities your child has taken part in.

We also create a Memory Book filled with your child’s artwork and special moments.

Events

We host a Christmas party before the end of the autumn term and a graduation celebration at the end of the summer term for children moving on to school. We also welcome external clubs and activity providers throughout the year to support children’s learning and physical development. Most additional activities are included for families who choose to opt-in.
